Makbetamaximus: Theater of Destruction was the first theater production I worked for in AdMU. This online production by Tanghalang Ateneo, directed by Khavn dela Cruz, is a reimagining of Macbeth in a surrealistic, hellish karinderya. Khavn wanted something that was a sort of a grotesque carnival, defined by a stark, vicious red that painted the production with a certain shade of hell. The first few promotional materials were primarily illustrated pieces, influenced by the likes of Barnum & Bailey’s sensationalized posters. The deliverables following that made use of dramatically monochromatic photographs of the cast, combined with guns and pinakbet–resulting in monstrous imagery of power hungry characters.
